Y is the 25th letter of the alphabet. She wasn’t used to make any words.
Appearance[]
Y is a white letter Y, with cream shading. She has two large eyes in the direct middle of her body (one larger than the other depending on the angle) and her mouth underneath. Her eyes also have two curly eyelashes.
Personality[]
Not much is known about her personality, except for the fact she cares for those around her a lot (judging by her reaction to X's death)
Biography[]
Y was only seen for a short time as a lowercase letter in nZ…. From o alerting everyone, after she, a and s saw the word "frick", she quickly closed her eyes in terror, and said her name.
In Y, after she saw X's dead body, she crouched, quickly looked at the sky, and said her name. After F was defeated, she and N were puzzled after seeing that F just wanted to form "FRIENDS". After that, Q showed up and showed what happened to F that made him evil.
She appeared in Now I Know My ABCs. She can be seen in the cave with G, A, M, U, Q, R, I, E, N, D, S and F.
Number Lore[]
Lowercase Y is seen alongside B, M, and X, oblivious to Q and the UFO. In that time period, she grew into an adult and witnessed X being taken forcefully by 1.
As such, she helps in stopping 1 to save X. She uses her body as a slingshot (since of course they're shaped like the letter) to shoot X clones at 1. At first it works, and 1 takes off, but he soon returns not long after and captures X. When M uses his gem to stop the ship from moving, 1 creates 2, who uses its horn to jab Y unconscious, leaving a red X-shaped scar underneath her right eye and leaving her mildly wounded. It's unknown, but highly likely, that she survived, as 2's attack on her barely did any damage.

Trivia[]
- All five times she speaks is for asking "Why?" questions. This doubles as the way her name is pronounced.
- Y is the last of the normal sized letters to debut.
- Judging by her reaction to X's death, the two appear to be in a positive relationship. Geoff confirmed this was platonic (and that even if Y had feelings, X would be too stoic to get all mushy.)
- Y was confirmed to have a romantic relationship with another character in the series (Unknown who, but its confirmed not X)
- She has appeared in the least amount of episodes, appearing only in 3, tied with H and J.
- She is one of the few females in the series, along with P, W, K, and 4
- Y is considered a vowel if a word has no other vowel on it or if it's at the end of a word.
- If you count Y as a vowel, then Y would technically be the only vowel not to spell any words.
- She was the only letter who witnessed the "frick" incident not to be angry at F.
- Like U, Y’s baby form is actually an uppercase Y and not a lowercase Y.
- She is the only female letter not to spell any words.
- Her top may resemble a pair of arms (like how she cheers and waves them) or to make a resemblance to pigtails (considering they are sticking out the top of her head, like how pigtails do.
- Y is rarely seen smiling in the series. This also applies to A, B, C, H, M, S, and X, while R, T, U (not counting his merch design), and W never smiled in the series.
- The only time Y has ever smiled in the series is in Number Lore, as she is seen smiling with M, X, and B while lowercase for 2 seconds. The next time she smiled was in the merch design.
- W and Y are the only semi-vowels. However, if Alphabet Lore was based on British English, then R would be a semi-vowel too.
- She is the only one that resembles a letter derived from a Greek letter (which one?) directly.
