H is the 8th letter of the alphabet while not used to make any words in the main series, H was used to spell "WATCH" and "SHIRT" in non-canon content.

Appearance

H is a mint colored letter H. Their eyes are located in the middle and in-between its mouth. Due to smelling "Fart" as a kid, H remains deceased in their form, with black eyes and long horizontal white pupils. Notably, H has a few lost teeth.

Biography

When H was a child, they were alive and possessed a normal, corporeal body. Unfortunately, they smelled the fart f created to prank and embarrass l, which killed them and turned them into a ghost. They had since remained as a ghost.

Somewhere before F's attack, H turned into an adult, (but were still a ghost).

In their titular episode, H, H appears, fading in out of thin air, saying their name. After that, F sprints to H and uses H to hide from A, B, C and G to get away from them by posing in behind H. After A, B, C, and G were gone, F inhaled H and farted them out, causing H to explode into many pieces!

In Number Lore 3, H appears for a split second in the cutscene followed with R. (Timestamp: 7:53)

Trivia

  • H is the only character who died 2 times.
  • Although not used to make any words in the series, H was used to spell "SHIRT".[2]
  • Despite being deceased, H is still capable of transforming, as F was holding a watch in the F plushie reveal video, using H as the clock hands.
  • H is one of the only character shown to have a nose along with F.
  • The reason H is a ghost may be because in the Latin alphabet, the letter H is a voiceless glottal fricative, or a sound made only with one’s breath, being a semi-silent sound, and like H, who is partially alive and partially dead. Another reason could be that they represent the word haunted.
    • While probably coincidental, it is similar to the fact that Greek lacks the /h/ sound, although in most versions of Archaic Greek, it does have the /h/ sound, being Heta (inline).[3][4]
  • H is shown to even as a ghost, be completely opaque, as A, B, C and G did not see F hiding behind them.
  • As a ghost, H and W are the only characters with eye colors other than black.
  • H’s gender was classified as “Gender Gaseous”.[1], and they are addressed with they/them pronouns.[5][6] Their pronouns are unknown, however, and Galneda referred them to they/them for the sake of it.[7]
  • H is the only character who even in the New Timeline is technically still dead.
