Additional information[]

Trivia[]

  • He is the first (and so far only) Number…
    • …to be formed midair.
    • …whose creation neither 1 nor his clone was directly involved in.
  • It's likely that he is a mix of 2 and 3, because...
    • ...his tail is possibly derived from 2's.
    • ...if you look closely, you can actually see his blue tongue, possibly derived from 3's.
    • ...his color is a mix of 2's yellow and 3's red. However, this is not the case with Three and 4; if this was true, the only colors available for numbers on the color wheel would be between yellow and blue, mostly shades of green (Three would be green, and Four would be blue like One).
  • The only difference is that his body type is muscular, unlike them.
  • Before Five made his debut, people were confused on what color he would be, first they see the title of the short video of number lore Four was cyan, since Galneda said that he would not be a warm color, but not blue or purple, especially when considering that a green number is already present (Four). At last it was chosen to be orange making some people's predictions correct.
  • Geoff Galneda has stated that Five was originally supposed to be light green, but Mike changed him to orange to contrast with Four.
  • Five is the second character in the Alphabet Lore franchise to be the color orange, the first being N.

Inspirations[]

  • Five’s muscular body and his strength-based abilities are a reference to how the number 5 is a priority number used in rounding and measurements (e.g.: 7.5, 8.5, 9.5 in).
  • His color probably being a mix of those of 2 and 3’s could be a reference to the fact that 5 is the only prime number to be a sum of two consecutive prime numbers, which are 2 and 3.
